Protein kinase enzymes have been found to be active in critical cellfunctions. Tie-2 is a memberof the receptor tyrosine kinase family and plays a critical role in theprocesses of angiogenesisand vasculogenesis and are active in cancer, immunological disorders such asrheumatoidarthritis, graft-host diseases, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis； cardiovasculardiseases such asatherosclerosis, myocardioinfarction, ischemia, pulmonary hypertension, strokeand restenosis；other inflammatory and degenerative diseases such as interbowel diseases,osteoarthritus,macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy. The present invention providescompounds formodulating protein kinase enzymatic activity for modulating cellularactivities such asproliferation, differentiation, programmed cell death, migration andchemoinvasion. Compoundsof the invention inhibit, regulate and/or modulate kinases, particularly Tie-2.
