The invention relates to a sanitary or incontinence pad (2), comprising wings (8, 10) which can be folded around the web of an undergarment, wherein the pad has a longitudinal direction (16) and a transverse direction (18) and a front end region (20) in the longitudinal direction (16) which covers at least one fourth of the total longitudinal extension of the pad, and a rear end region (22) in the longitudinal direction (16) which covers at most one fourth of the total longitudinal extension of the pad, comprising a primary pad part (4), having the longer dimension thereof extended in the longitudinal direction (16) and receiving an absorption body (6) for bodily fluids, and two wings (8, 10) on each longitudinal side of the primary pad part (4) which protrude in the transverse direction (18) from the primary pad part (4) such that they form a front and a rear wing pair (12, 14), wherein the front wing pair (12) is arranged in the longitudinal direction (16) outside the front end region (20) so that the front end region (20) is not flanked by wings, wherein the wings (8, 10) of the front and rear wing pairs (12, 14) are each limited by a front-side and a rear-side flank (32, 34; 38, 40). In order to increase the wear comfort and handling, the pad is designed so that at least 90% of the visual surface of the wing (10) of the rear wing pair (14) is arranged within the rear end region (22).
