A haemoconcentrator (A) for extracerporeal application, comprising a housing (1) substantially cylindrical in configuration and having at least one edge covers (2,2) at each end to form a closed vessel an inlet port (3) provided at a first end to allow entry of blood and outlet port (4) arranged at a second end being opposite to the first end for allow egress of the blood from the housing (1), characterized in that the housing (1) having interposed with a hollow fibre semipermeable membrane bundle (5), and in that the housing (1) is provided with at least two drainage port (7,8) configured on each of the edge covers (3) for draining out the filtered fluid.
