PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover for an oxygenator allowing the oxygenator to be easily joined to a blood storage tank and capable of being hardly divided by a twisting motion.
SOLUTION: The protective cover 1 is attached to the oxygenator and functions as a connection part between the oxygenator and the blood storage tank. The protective cover 1 includes a cylinder 4 formed in such a way as can be connected to the blood storage tank, and further includes a body portion 2 for covering a part of the oxygenator and a body portion 3 for covering the other part of the oxygenator. The body portion 2 and the body portion 3 are formed to be joined to each other. A joint line 6 appearing when the body portions 2 and 3 are joined to each other is formed to include a curve 7 concentric with the contour of the cylinder 4, a straight line 8 from an end of the curve 7 toward the cylinder 4, and a straight line 9 extending in the direction of separating from the cylinder 4 with the end on the cylinder 4 side of the straight line 8 as the base point.
