PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ear attachment type pulse detector free from causing distress in exercise including the vertical motion of the body and attachment to the ear, and capable of securing a sufficient battery life in an incorporated battery.SOLUTION: A pulse detector 2 is configured such that a body frame 10 is held on the ear surface by inserting a circular column-like head 12 into a recess 1b of the ear surrounding an ear hole 1a in a state of sandwiching an earlobe 1c between the body frame 10 and a clip part 20. The outer peripheral surface of the head 12 is loosely held without partial contact with the inner wall of the recess 1b of the ear. Since a projection 1d of the ear covering the ear hole 1a restrains the head 12, falling of the head 12 from the recess 1b of the ear and positional deviation of the clip part 20 are inhibited even by a relatively weak earlobe sandwiching force of the clip part 20, and thereby the signal-to-noise ratio of an output signal of a light receiving part is increased and the output of the light receiving part is decreased so as to extend a battery life.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】身体の上下動を伴う運動や耳への装着が苦痛となることなく、内蔵した電池において十分な電池寿命を確保できる耳装着型の脈拍検出装置を提供する。
