The surgical burr comprising prevention means, attachment means and a working part comprising at least one working means for processing of a material selected from a bone, a cartilage, a calcified tissue, a tooth and a foreign object within a patient 5 body, wherein the working means is selected from a grinding surface and flutes defining cutting edges. The prevention means is configured to have a first position and a second position. In the first position, it at least partially prevents the working means from processing the material, when a force applied to the prevention means is less than a predetermined 10 amount of force. In the second position, it allows the working means to process the material, when the force applied to the prevention means is equal or higher than the predetermined amount of force.
