The present invention relates to saccharide mimics which show a better biological activity at low concentrations as known saccharide mimics in inhibiting angiogenesis and inhibiting formation of metastasis by inhibiting adhesion and/or migration of human cancer cells, particularly in concentrations lower than 5 mM, and to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these saccharide mimics.
