PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic composition for treating lung diseases or disorders, including pneumonia, acute respiratory failure and acute respiratory distress syndrome, and respiratory diseases or disorders.SOLUTION: The therapeutic composition comprises: (1) a peroxidase enzyme that catalyzes a reaction between hydrogen peroxide and a salt that acts as an oxygen acceptor and is capable of reacting with hydrogen peroxide to form a biocide (the peroxidase enzyme being present in a sufficient quantity such that the biocide is produced in a therapeutically effective concentration)； (2) a salt that acts as an oxygen acceptor and is capable of reacting with hydrogen peroxide to form a biocide in a quantity sufficient to form a therapeutically effective concentration of the biocide； and (3) an aqueous medium in which the salt that acts as the peroxidase enzyme and an oxygen acceptor are stable.【課題】肺炎、急性呼吸不全及び急性呼吸促迫症候群を含む肺の疾患又は障害並びに気道の疾患又は障害を処置するための治療組成物の提供。【解決手段】（１）過酸化水素と、酸素受容体として作用し過酸化水素と反応してバイオサイドを形成することができる塩との間の反応を触媒するペルオキシダーゼ酵素、（ここで該ペルオキシダーゼ酵素は該バイオサイドを治療有効濃度で生成するのに十分な量で存在する）、（２）過酸化水素と反応して、酸素受容体として作用し、治療有効濃度のバイオサイドを形成するのに十分な量のバイオサイドを形成することができる塩、及び、（３）該ペルオキシダーゼ酵素及び酸素受容体として作用する該塩が安定である水性媒質、を含む組成物。【選択図】なし
