PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter of bi-direction type that can operate the deflection of a tapering tip.SOLUTION: A catheter operable for tip deflection comprises a catheter tube 10, a tip electrode 20, an operation wire 30, a conductor wire 40, a temperature sensor 50, a temperature sensor protective pipe 60, and an anchor member 80 for operation. The anchor member 80 has through holes 81, 82, and inner holds 83, 84. The operation wire 30 is formed of one wire extending from one end of the interior of the tube 10 in a distant direction, extending through the through hole 81 of the anchor member 80 and through a return through-hole 82 near a distant end 80D, extending in the tube 10 in a proximal direction, and reaching the other end. A temperature sensor protective pipe 60 is inserted and fixed in the inner hole 83 of the anchor member 80. Thereby, the temperature measurement part of the temperature sensor 50 is arranged in the tip electrode 20.
