A composition for diagnosing dementia or Alzheimer's disease contains 2-styrylpyridazin-3 (2H)-one derivative of chemical formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 2-styrylpyridazin-3 (2H)-one derivative is (E)-4,5-dichloro-2- (4- (dimethyl amino)styryl)pyridazine-3 (2H)-one.
