The invention provides a system for use in specification of a wheelchair. The system includes a measurement jig comprising at least one adjustable component to enable at least one measurement to be taken for bespoke configuration of the wheelchair. Measuring means are provided for taking measurements relating to the set configuration of adjustable components of the jig and a computer-implemented modelling component is arranged to generate a visual representation of the user sat in the wheelchair based on the user’s measurements. The system thereby reduces the possibility of error in the wheelchair specification process.
