PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sperm preservation solution, a sperm preservation method and a method for artificial insemination capable of maintaining mobility and fertility of pig sperm even after preservation of the sperm in a solution state for a long term.SOLUTION: A sperm preservation solution for preserving pig sperm comprises a saccharide which is not a substrate in anaerobic glycolysis. Thereby, oxygen respiration of pig sperm is enhanced and ATP synthesis is sustained, resulting in that mobility and fertility of pig sperm is maintained after preservation of the pig sperm for a long term.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】長期間ブタ精子を液状で保存しても、精子の運動性及び受精能を維持させ得る精子保存液、精子保存方法及び人工授精方法を提供する。【解決手段】ブタ精子を保存する精子保存液は、嫌気的解糖系の非基質となる糖を含有する。これにより、ブタ精子の酸素呼吸が亢進され、持続的なATP合成が行われることから、ブタ精子を長期間保存した後でもブタ精子の運動性及び受精能が維持される。【選択図】図8
