PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon which improves operability of a catheter by reducing large resistance to solve the problem that sleeves which bulges when a balloon expands cannot return to its original shape even after the balloon shrinks and becomes bulky, and the bulky portion causes an obstruction when the catheter passes through a vasoconstriction site or is drawn out of blood vessel to cause the large resistance.SOLUTION: The expandable/shrinkable balloon 9 which facilitates catheter operation has a configuration in which the surfaces of sleeves 12, 13 of the balloon 9 for catheter are covered in mesh or coil by using fibers in order to improve diameter reduction and flexibility when the balloon 9 shrinks, and the resistance can be reduced when the balloon 9 passes through the vasoconstriction site or is withdrawn from blood vessel.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】バルーン拡張時に膨らんだスリーブ部が、バルーン収縮後も元の形状に戻りきらず嵩張ることで、カテーテルが血管狭窄部位を通過するときや血管内から抜去されるときなどにこの嵩張りが邪魔して大きな抵抗がかかってしまうため、この抵抗を低減させ、カテーテルの操作性を向上させることである。【解決手段】バルーン9収縮時の小径化と柔軟性を向上させるため、拡張収縮可能なカテーテル用バルーン9のスリーブ部12,13の表面をファイバーで編組またはコイル状に覆うことであり、バルーン9の狭窄部位の通過や血管内からの抜去時の抵抗を小さくし、カテーテル操作が容易なバルーン9を提供する。【選択図】図6
