A method includes forming a conjunctival incision in a patients eye, attaching a synthetic flap to the patients eye within the conjunctival incision, forming a scleral tunnel underneath the synthetic flap, the scleral tunnel extending from an exterior of a sclera to an anterior chamber of the patients eye, and closing the conjunctival incision.
