The present invention relates to a method for AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activation. More specifically, the present invention relates to the method for AMPK activation using avenanthramide C (Avn-C) extracted from oats and derivatives thereof. According to the present invention, Avn-C extracted from oats or derivatives thereof can activate AMPK by being bound to adrenalin receptor-α1a (AR- α1a).본 발명은 AMPK 활성화 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 구체적으로 귀리로부터 추출된 아베난쓰라마이드 C 및 이의 유도체를 이용한 AMPK 활성화 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면 귀리로부터 추출된 아베난쓰라마이드 C(Avn-C) 또는 이의 유도체는 아드레날린 수용체-α1a(AR- α1a)에 결합함으로써 AMPK(AMP-activated protein kinase)를 활성화시킬 수 있다.
