An irrigation drip emitter, and methods relating to same, are provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. The emitter having at least one moveable member for compensating for fluctuations in supply line fluid pressure. In various forms, the emitter may include one or more of an inlet protrusion to draw fluid from closer to the center of the inner lumen of the drip line, a root growth inhibitor for hindering root growth at or near the emitter and/or drip line, a root growth inhibitor fastener for securing the inhibitor to the emitter at a desired position, one or more stepped baffle teeth or flippers for improving and/or controlling pressure compensation of the emitter, and carrier for carrying the emitter.
