PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower side fence device configured so that a support rod member held upright may not be carelessly got down.SOLUTION: The side fence device mounted on a side part of a bed body in a width direction includes a plurality of support rod members 9 whose lower ends are turnably held at a predetermined interval to its longitudinal direction, an upper side member 11 with which upper ends of the plurality of support rod members 9 are connected, and a stopper mechanism 14 capable of turnably holding the support rod members 9 to the upper side member 11 when standing the support rod members 9, releasing the held sate of the support rod members 9 and getting the same down in a longitudinal direction of the bed body.
