The invention relates to a method for guiding a patient in a hospital. The method of the invention comprises the steps of scheduling the events optimally for a patient based on a scheduling model and at least one scheduling parameter. The method also comprises of providing navigation information to the patient based on the scheduling of the events to enable performing the event, and generating report to the patient by capturing the interactions with clinical staff. The invention also relates to a system for guiding a patient in a hospital performing the method in accordance with the invention.
