PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image diagnostic apparatus capable of continuing scanning without stopping even if a failure occurs in a part of a transmission path formed between a rotating body and a support body to transmit scan data, and maintaining the quality of an acquired detection image of a subject.SOLUTION: The image diagnostic apparatus has a rotating body 1 rotating around a subject, and a supporting body 2 for rotatably supporting the rotating body 1. The apparatus transmits the scan data of the subject acquired by a scan data acquiring section 4 provided on the rotating body 1 from the rotating body 1 side to the supporting body 2 side by using a plurality of transmission paths 20 formed between the rotating body 1 and the supporting body 2.
