PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire capable of disallowing a core shaft to come off from the distal end part of the guide wire while avoiding the distal end part becoming enlarged and suppressing the deterioration of the mechanical strength for the core shaft distal end part.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1B includes: a core shaft 2； a coil body 3 at least wound around the end part of the core shaft 2； and a distal end part 4 having the end part of the coil body 3 and the end part of the core shaft 2 fastened thereto. In the distal end part 4, a plurality of bent parts (21, 22, and 23) are formed at the end part of the core shaft 2, that are bent in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the guide wire 1B.
