The present invention relates to a composition for antioxidation comprising a Cornus officinalis extract and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition, a health functional food and a cosmetic composition comprising a hot water extract or an ethanol extract of Cornus officinalis and an organic solvent fraction thereof for antioxidation. An extract and a fraction of Cornus officinalis of the present invention have excellent effects on uses for preventing, alleviating, improving and treating oxidative stress-related various diseases due to exhibiting an excellent antioxidative activity. In addition, an extract and a fraction of Cornus officinalis of the present invention have an excellent thermal stability and can be useful in pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries such that it is easy to be processed in various types such as liquid, cream, powder, pill and tablet or the like because of not losing activities in pH 2 acidic condition and in plasma.본 발명은 산수유 추출물을 포함하는 항산화용 조성물로서, 보다 상세하게는 산수유의 열수 또는 에탄올 추출물 및 이의 유기용매 분획물을 포함하는 항산화용 약학적 조성물, 건강 기능 식품 및 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 산수유 추출물 및 분획물은 우수한 항산화 활성을 나타내어, 산화적 스트레스와 관련된 다양한 질환의 예방, 경감, 개선 및 치료 용도로 사용할 수 있는 뛰어난 효과가 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 본 발명의 산수유 추출물 및 분획물은 열 안정성이 우수하고, pH 2의 산성조건 및 혈장 내에서도 활성의 손실이 나타나지 않아, 액상, 크림, 분말, 환, 정 등의 다양한 형태로 손쉽게 가공될 수 있어 제약 산업, 식품 산업 및 화장품 산업 상 매우 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
