The invention relates to an oropharyngeal airway (1, 101) comprising a collar (3, 103) which is suitable for resting on the lips of a patient, an inwardly curved body (2, 102) for being inserted into the mouth of patient and blocking tongue of said patient, the body (2, 102) forming a fluid passage extending from the collar (3, 103), and two auxiliary pipes (6 and 7, 106 and 107) formed in the collar (3, 103) and the body (2, 102) and extending until they reach the fluid passage, each auxiliary pipe (6 and 7, 106 and 107) leading into the collar (3, 103) at an inlet/outlet (64, 74, 164, 174) that is oriented in a radial direction so as to be oriented laterally on either side of the patients mouth when the patient is fitted with the airway (1, 101).
