PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new endoscope having an intermediate property between a rigid endoscope and a flexible endoscope. An endoscope includes a main body 100 and a cover member 200. The main body 100 has a main body block 110, and a metal elastic material 120 that is long and plastically deformable and bendable with bare hands extends from the contact surface 111 of the main body block 110. At the tip of the elastic member 120, an image pickup unit 130 having a lens 132 having an image pickup element arranged in the back and a light source 134 for emitting illumination light is provided. The cover member 200 includes a cover member main body 210 that is tubular and has a closed front end, and a transparent window portion 220 is provided at the front end of the cover member 200.
