PURPOSE: A novel porcine reproductive respiratory syndrome virus is provided to use for manufacturing an immunogenic composition since the GP5 coding sequence of the virus is different from the existing North American type reference strain and European type reference strain. CONSTITUTION: PRRS-GC-DM (deposit number KCTC 11853BP) is a novel porcine reproductive respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). An immunogenic composition for the prevention or treatment of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) contains inactivated PRRS-GC-DM (deposit number KCTC 11853BP). The PRRS-GC-DM (deposit number KCTC 11853BP) is inactivated by bromoethylamine hydrobromide.
