PURPOSE: A vermin-repelling composition using phytol is provided to show continuous repellant effects by including only plant originated components.CONSTITUTION: A vermin-repelling composition contains phytol. The phytol is extracted from plants. The plant is Ailanthus altissima. The pest is culex. A composition includes vanillin, polyvinyl ether-maleic acid copolymer(PVM/MA copolymer), polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylic acid, polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), carbopol, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, gelatin or alginic acid. The composition additionally includes plant derivative terpenoid. The plant derivative terpenoid has smaller molecular weight or a lower boiling point.
