The present invention relates to a composition for modifying a surface of a mulching material, a method for manufacturing a mulching material, and a mulching material manufactured thereby, and more particularly, to a composition for modifying a surface of a mulching material which controls excessive salt inhibiting the growth of a plant by being introduced into soil through surface modification of a landscaping material for a park, a green belt, artificial soil, etc., and an organic mulching material such as tree bark, sawdust, chaff, rice straw, leaves, reeds, etc., used for mulching of various farm products, or an inorganic mulching material such as gravel, artificial aggregate, lightweight aggregate, yam yarn, perlite, etc., can control pH of soil, and also can control durability and specific gravity to have a loss prevention function so as to increase a usage period.본 발명은 멀칭재 표면 개질용 조성물, 멀칭재 제조방법 및 이의 제조방법으로 제조된 멀칭재에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 공원, 녹지, 인공토양 등의 조경용 소재 및 다양한 밭작물의 멀칭 용도로 사용되는 수피, 톱밥, 왕겨, 볏짚, 낙엽, 갈대류 등의 유기성 멀칭재 또는 자갈, 인공골재, 경량골재, 마사, 펄라이트 등의 무기성 멀칭재의 표면개질을 통해 토양으로 유입되어 식물의 성장을 저해하는 과도한 염을 제어하고, 토양 pH 조절이 가능할 뿐만 아니라 내구성 및 비중이 조절되어 유실방지 기능을 가짐으로써 사용기간을 증대시키는 멀칭재 표면 개질용 조성물, 멀칭재 제조방법 및 이의 제조방법으로 제조된 멀칭재에 관한 것이다.
