PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated powder which causes little deposition of ceramides, and can be used for preparing cosmetics excellent in long-lasting moisturization, smoothness of spreading, and the resulting flexibility when compounded in cosmetics and to provide a production method thereof, as well as cosmetics containing the same.SOLUTION: The invention provides a surface treated powder supporting a ceramide-containing composition which contains phospholipid, sterols, and ceramides on a powder surface, and cosmetics containing the same. The invention also provides a method for producing the surface treated powder characterized by supporting the ceramide-containing composition on the surface of the powder by removing an organic solvent after mixing powders with phospholipid, sterols, and ceramides in the organic solvent.
