PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent for preventing and ameliorating inflammatory diseases, which has excellent controlling and treating effect on inflammatory diseases derived from antiinflammation action and immunomodulation action, has low possibility of causing adverse effect.SOLUTION: The agent for preventing and ameliorating inflammatory diseases comprises Pleurotus nebrodensis and/or its extract as an active ingredient. Preferably Pleurotus nebrodensis is Pleurotus nebrodensis strain of accession number FERM P-19370 in the agent for preventing and ameliorating inflammatory diseases.
