Consistent with the various embodiments of the present disclosure, an LED switch device is contemplated. There may be an electroluminescent semiconductor element having a first polarity contact and a second polarity contact. The LED switch device may have a first polarity lead frame on which the electroluminescent semiconductor device is mounted. The first polarity contact of the electroluminescent semiconductor device may be electrically connected to the first polarity lead frame. There may also be a second polarity leadframe that can be electrically connected to the second polarity contact of the electroluminescent semiconductor device.
