PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve RF shimming without improving performance of hardware.SOLUTION: Intensity and a phase of an RF pulse imparted to each channel are adjusted for RF shimming by normalizing net irradiation intensity caused in an imaging space while maintaining a uniformity of a B1 (generated rotating magnetic field) distribution, obtained by the RF shimming to suppress a substantial change of the irradiation intensity. The normalization varies an intensity of the RF pulse imparted to each channel at the same ratio such that a direction of composite intensity obtained by combining outputs from the respective channels becomes same as that after the RF shimming and a magnitude becomes equal to that before the RF shimming.
