PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaning method which is useful for making installation of a device for supplementing a filtration function unnecessary and making water exchange processing and sand replacement processing unnecessary semipermanently or for an extended period of time.SOLUTION: In the water cleaning method: a first bacterium inhabitable area 140, which is a preliminarily compressed lump of Andosol 40 where absolute anaerobic bacteria can live, is installed in breeding water 9 a second bacterium inhabitable area 141 which is adjacent to the first bacterium inhabitable area 140 and has sand 50, and where facultative anaerobic bacteria can live, a third bacterium inhabitable area 142 which is adjacent to the second bacterium inhabitable area 141 and has sand 50, and where aerobic bacteria can live and anaerobic space 3 which has an anaerobic environment and communicates with the first bacterium inhabitable area 140 are formed in the breeding water 9 and an aerobic area 90 where an organic material and oxygen exist is located at a position communicating with the third bacterium inhabitable area 142, so that the aerobic area 90 communicates with the anaerobic space 3.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】濾過機能を補う装置の設置を不要としつつ半永久的ないし長期間に亘って換水処理や砂の入れ替え処理を不要とするために有用な水の浄化方法を提供する。【解決手段】水の浄化方法は、絶対嫌気性細菌が生息可能な黒ぼく土40を予め押し固めた塊状の第1の細菌生息可能部140を飼育水9中に設置された状態にするとともに、この第1の細菌生息可能部140に隣接して砂50を有し通性嫌気性細菌が生息可能な第2の細菌生息可能部141と、この第2の細菌生息可能部141に隣接して砂50を有し好気性細菌が生息可能な第3の細菌生息可能部142と、嫌気的な環境であって前記第1の細菌生息可能部140と連通する嫌気空間3とを飼育水9中に形成し、さらに第3の細菌生息可能部142と連通する位置に有機物および酸素が存在する好気領域90を位置づけて、この好気領域90と嫌気空間3とを連通状態にする。【選択図】図2
