A method of analyzing an actual dental situation of a patient, the method comprising the following successive steps: A) at an updated time, acquiring a refreshed image representing a real dental scene as observed by an operator； simulation of the actual dental scene represented on the updated image for a simulation instant, then determination of a virtual dental scene according to said simulation, and presentation of the virtual dental scene in transparency and in superposition on the real dental scene, or display of the updated image on a screen and presentation of the virtual dental scene in superposition with the representation of the actual dental scene on the updated image displayed on the screen, in transparency or not on said representation.Procédé d'analyse d'une situation dentaire réelle d'un patient, le procédé comportant les étapes successives suivantes :A) à un instant actualisé, acquisition d'une image actualisée représentant une scène dentaire réelle telle qu'observée par un opérateur ；B) simulation, pour un instant de simulation, de la scène dentaire réelle représentée sur l'image actualisée, puis détermination d'une scène dentaire virtuelle en fonction de ladite simulation ；C) présentation de la scène dentaire virtuelle en transparence et en superposition sur la scène dentaire réelle, ouaffichage de l'image actualisée sur un écran et présentation de la scène dentaire virtuelle en superposition avec la représentation de la scène dentaire réelle sur l'image actualisée affichée sur l'écran, en transparence ou non sur ladite représentation.
