The device is for bringing oxygen, carbon dioxide gas, or a gaseous mixture of oxygen and carbon dioxide gas each having a concentration not lower than a given value into contact with the skin or mucous membrane of the head of a living body. The device comprises: a gas-containing mist generator (11) which forms a mist from a gas and a liquid through atomization/dissolution and supplies the mist a compressed-air feeder (12) which supplies compressed air and a living-body-masking member (13) which has a shape suitable for covering the head of the living body and has been connected to the gas-containing mist generator (11) and the compressed-air feeder (12), the masking member (13) having a first closed layer (14) in which the gas-containing mist supplied from the gas-containing mist generator (11) is enclosed and a second closed layer (15) in which the compressed air supplied from the compressed-air feeder (12) is enclosed.
