A device for the automated control of an enclosure for animals or plant enclosures comprises the control of temperature and/or humidity and/or lighting based upon daily geographical sunrise/sunset times downloaded from a web service. This invention seeks to replicate the environment of a specific geographical location by downloading environmental data from the geographical location to control the lighting, humidity and temperature. A website may be created to control the device by downloading data onto a memory card.
