The present invention discloses a dental X-ray imaging apparatus capable of skull radiography. The dental X-ray imaging apparatus, according to the present invention, comprises: a rotation arm installed to rotate around a rotational axis a generator unit which is placed on one side of the rotational arm and has an X-ray generator that emits X-ray beam and a sensor unit which has at least one X-ray sensor that detects the X-ray beam and is positioned at the outer part of the rotational arm to face the generator unit around the rotational axis. The present invention comprises a first imaging mode wherein the X-ray beam is irradiated to penetrate part of a subject&primes skull, while the rotational arm is rotated to take multiple X-ray images at different angles, and a second imaging mode wherein a center line of the X-ray beam which travels along the shortest path from the X-ray generator to the X-ray sensor passes through both earholes of the subject and reaches the X-ray sensor to take X-ray images of the subject&primes skull.
