Provided is a pharmaceutical composition containing, as an active ingredient thereof, a substituted biaryl compound represented by general formula (I), wherein, R1, W, R2 and Z are as defined in the claims and description, or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention is useful as a therapeutic drug and/or prophylactic drug for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease due to having an excellent anti-inflammatory effect.
