The present invention relates to a spreading member (14) adapted to be arranged after a straw chopper of a combine harvester (1), said spreading member (14) comprises two vertical sides and a shaft (22), wherein said sides are arranged at an angle to each other, and wherein said spreading member (14) is pivotable around said shaft (22) between at least a first and a second position. The present invention also relates to a combine harvester comprising a straw chopper (2), having an inlet for unchopped straw and an outlet (21) for chopped straw, and a spreading member (14) arranged downstream of said outlet for chopped straw.
