PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe soil-treating agent having excellent effects for reducing hydrophobization of the soil and improving the penetrability of water to the hydrophobized soil when applied to the soil and to provide a soil-treating method.SOLUTION: The soil-treating agent contains a culture product of microorganisms belonging to the genus Gordonia, or a treated product thereof.
