The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating vascular inflammatory diseases, the composition containing a C-methylrotenoid compound for inhibiting an HMGB1-induced proinflammatory reaction. It was specifically confirmed that the HMGB1-induced proinflammatory reaction was inhibited through the C-methylrotenoid compound according to the present invention, and therefore, the present invention can be effectively used for the prevention and treatment of vascular inflammatory diseases, such as sepsis and septic shock.La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique pour prévenir et traiter des maladies inflammatoires vasculaires, la composition contenant un composé C-méthylroténoïde pour inhiber une réaction pro-inflammatoire induite par HMGB1.
