Disclosed are an apparatus for deciding snow albedo reflecting structural characteristic of vegetation after growth and a method thereof. The method for deciding the snow albedo can comprise following steps of: deciding Leaf Index (LI) using Leaf Area Index (LAI) and area of non-photosynthetic leaf in the vegetation； deciding Stem Index (SI) using an area of a non-photosynthetic branch in the vegetation and Stem Area Index (SAI)； and deciding the snow albedo using the LI and the SI.생장이 종료된 식생의 구조적 특징을 반영한 눈 알베도 결정 장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다.눈 알베도 결정 방법은 식생에서 광합성 하지 않는 잎의 면적과 엽 면적 지수(LAI: Leaf Area Index)를 이용하여 잎 지수(LI: Leaf Index)를 결정하는 단계； 식생에서 광합성 하지 않는 가지의 면적과 줄기 면적 지수 (SAI: Stem Area Index)를 이용하여 줄기 지수(SI: Stem Index)를 결정하는 단계； 및 상기 잎 지수와 상기 줄기 지수를 이용하여 눈 알베도(snow albedo)를 결정하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
