PURPOSE: A magnetic resonance imaging device and a controlling method thereof are provided to secure a clear magnetic resonance image by preventing a patient from moving through providing the patient with the information of photographed images with the monitor of a MRI. CONSTITUTION: A system control part controls to output an image in the front of a patient in a magnetic assembly(10) according to the moving distance of a moving part(16) which moves the patient.
