PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for diffusing waste straws capable of uniformly diffusing the waste straws after cutting treatment.SOLUTION: The apparatus 30 for diffusing the waste straws is designed to carry out the diffusing treatment of the waste straws subjected to the cutting treatment with a helical screw 40. Furthermore, the helical screw 40 includes a rotating shaft 41, a first helical blade 42, a second helical blade 43, and a raking out blade 46. The first helical blade 42 has a helical shape, is constituted to be stretchable in a shaft direction on the rotating shaft 41, and is installed on one side in the shaft direction on the rotating shaft 41. The second helical blade 43 has a helical shape in the direction opposite to that of the first helical blade 42, and is installed on the other side in the shaft direction on the rotating shaft 41 so as to be movable in the shaft direction, and fixable at an optional position.
