A dosing system (21) is provided for a milking station (n) comprising (i) an identification device (12) provided for identifying animals, which enter the milking station (ii) a milking machine (13) provided for milking animals present in the milking station, the milking machine comprising a device (13a) for measuring a quality of the milk milked from the animals and a device (13b) for measuring a quantity of the milk milked from the animals (iii) a milk storage arrangement (14) to which milked milk is transported and (iv) diverting means (15) provided for selectively diverting milked milk from an animal to a vessel (16) depending on the identity of the animal and/or on a quality of the milk milked from the animal, wherein the device (13b) for measuring a quantity of the milk milked from each of the animals is arranged to measure the quantity of the milk selectively diverted to the vessel.
