PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which allows the absorber and the leg gathers of the disposable diaper to easily come in close contact with the crotch portion and inguinal region of a wearer when a user wears the disposable diaper.SOLUTION: An external sheet 4 of a pants type disposable diaper 1 includes: a front part 401 for covering the front side of the wearer a rear part 403 for covering the rear side and a middle part 402 arranged between both parts. The absorber 20 is attached onto the external sheet 4a and absorbs excrement from the wearer. In the disposable diaper 1, leg elastic members 43 are arranged along the side end edges of the middle part 402, so that the leg gathers are formed. Convex elastic members 45 in a stretched state are joined to the external sheet 4 at the respective side positions of the absorber 20 in the front and rear parts 401, 403. The convex elastic members 45 are bent so as to be convex to the upper end sides of the diaper. Consequently, the absorber 20 and the leg gathers are pulled up toward the upper ends. Thus, the absorber 20 and the leg gathers are allowed to easily come in close contact with the crotch part and inguinal region of the wearer when the user wears the disposable diaper.
