A method of stimulating elastin and/or collagen production in the tissues of the vagina, comprising the steps of providing a composition including at least one of a water soluble zinc salt such as zinc sulfate and a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor beta/delta (PPAR β/δ) agonist, and administering the composition to the tissue of the vagina. Compositions for stimulating 5 elastin and/or collagen production in the tissues of the vagina are also disclosed.La présente invention concerne un procédé de stimulation de la production d'élastine et/ou de collagène dans les tissus du vagin, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à fournir une composition comprenant au moins un sel de zinc soluble dans l'eau tel que le sulfate de zinc et un agoniste du récepteur activé par les proliférateurs des peroxysomes bêta/delta (PPAR β/δ), et à administrer la composition au tissu vaginal. La présente invention concerne en outre des compositions de stimulation de la production d'élastine et/ou de collagène dans les tissus vaginaux.
