PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone retainer which can be easily produced and which has improved handle ability in surgery.SOLUTION: A bone retainer comprises: a retaining element (2) having a shaft (3) to be fixed to a bone and a head (4) a reception part having an upper end (51), a lower end (52), a recess (55) for receiving a rod inside, a coaxial bore (53) extending from the upper end (51) to the lower end (52), and a seat part (54) for receiving the head in the vicinity of the lower end and a pressure element (6) movable in the bore (53). The head (4) can revolve with respect to the reception part (5), and can be fixed at a certain angle by applying pressure to the head via the pressure element.
