To provide methods for treating pruritus with anti-pruritic compositions.SOLUTION: The invention provides the use of an anti-pruritic agent in production of pharmaceuticals for use in treating nodular prurigo, the treatment comprising administering an effective amount of an anti-pruritic agent to a human patient in need of such treatment, where the anti-pruritic agent is nalbuphine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof.
