The ultrasound diagnosis method and apparatus acquire volume data from an object, cut the volume data in a predetermined direction to decide on a reference plane, detect a long bone included in the volume data by using the reference plane, and extract long bone volume data including the detected long bone from the volume data to display the long bone volume data, thereby diagnosing the object.
