The gauge wheel (24, 60, 70 100, 120) includes a rim (26, 64, 74, 104, 122) having an outer periphery (40, 80, 108, 132) and a tire (28, 62, 72, 102, 128) mounted to the outer periphery (40, 80, 108, 132). The tire includes an outer shell (42, 78, 110, 134) formed from a first resilient material and an inner core (44, 76, 106, 130) formed from a second resilient material. The first resilient material is harder than the second resilient material. Furthermore an agricultural implement with such a gauge wheel (24, 60, 70 100, 120) is described.
