A method, system, and program product are provided for planning a cathlab intervention with optimal tracking performance. The method comprises: determining electromagnetic tracking error as a function of pose for a plurality of possible poses of an x-ray machine, planning an intervention procedure using the x-ray machine, and iteratively determining an optimal pose for the x-ray machine based upon electromagnetic tracking using the determined electromagnetic tracking error for each of the plurality of possible poses.La présente invention concerne un procédé, un système, et un programme informatique de planification dune intervention en laboratoire de cathétérisme avec une performance de suivi optimale. Le procédé comprend : la détermination dune erreur de suivi électromagnétique en fonction dune position pour une pluralité de positions possibles dune machine à rayons X, la planification dune procédure dintervention avec la machine à rayons X, et la détermination itérative dune position optimale pour la machine à rayons X en se basant sur le suivi électromagnétique à laide de lerreur de suivi électromagnétique déterminée pour chacune des positions de la pluralité de positions possibles.
